In June 2020 the government announced £1 billion of funding to support children and young people to catch up on missed learning caused by coronavirus (COVID19). Funding has been delegated to schools to support pupils and minimise the impact that the pandemic and subsequent school closures have on our children's learning and progress.
We have carefully considered the needs of our pupils, to provide a two pronged approach to best support the needs of our pupils.
We are focusing on closing the gaps in academic progress and attainment, alongside focusing on the emotional and social well-being of our pupils, which we believe plays a vital role in ensuring continued progress and achievement.
We will continue to use any Catch Up funding which the government offers to schools, in a similar manner.
